Skimpy dresses; what does the bible say about it

SHORT DRESSES: WHAT IS THE BIBLE'S TAKE ON IT?

The 21st century brought into the world many changes, which dressing was one of them. The dressing pattern seem to changed, even our christian youths seem to be obsessed of this changes. They also find fun and pleasure in putting on short dresses.
Have you ever been bothered to check if dresses that are short are good for you? Have you ever decided to find out what the bible says about it?
We'll be looking at what the Bible says about this.
Let's go to 1 Timothy 2:9
"Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves modestly and appropriately and discreetly in proper clothing........
The Bible was clear, it's so self explanatory what the Bible wants from us an ambassador of Christ. The Bible wants us to be modest in our dressing.
Whatever we do, we must do so to the glory of God. Have you ever asked if your dressing reveals that glory of God at all? Do you think God will be happy seeing you in those dresses?
1 Corinthians 10:31 says,
"So then, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of [our great] God"
Another reason why short dresses may be inappropriate for you as a christian is that our body is the temple of God. So we have to be careful of what we clothe the body of God with.
"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is within you, whom you have [received as a gift] from God, and that you are not your own [property]?" — 1Cor 6:19
Don't say because you have this liberty, you can do anything you want. Your liberty should not affect other people's life. It should not be a source of temptation for other people. Your dressing should not kill other people. Yes, your dressing may be a picture of lust to other people. You need to be careful of what you wear.
"Only be careful that this liberty of yours [this power to choose] does not somehow become a stumbling block [that is, a temptation to sin] to the weak [in conscience]." — 1Cor 8:9
If your dressing be a source of temptation to people, making them to go down. God won't take it lightly. See what the Bible says concerning this too.
"Jesus said to His disciples, "Stumbling blocks [temptations and traps set to lure one to sin] are sure to come, but woe (judgment is coming) to him through whom they come!" — Luke 17:1
As christians, dignity should be what we portray. Our dignity may also be a reflection of dressing. Our dressing must be dignifying as christians as we are models to other people and we can't afford to become loose to that fact. We must be aware of that fact and walk in that light.
"Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; And she smiles at the future [knowing that she and her family are prepared].
" — Prov 31:25
Instead of spending extra cash in making our external look too good, let's spend more time working on our inside. Yeah, we gotta look good but not at the expenses of our inner beauty. So as you beautify the outward you, do so to the inward you too.
"Your adornment must not be merely external—with interweaving and elaborate knotting of the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or [being superficially preoccupied with] dressing in expensive clothes; but let it be [the inner beauty of] the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality and unfading charm of a gentle and peaceful spirit, [one that is calm and self-controlled, not overanxious, but serene and spiritually mature] which is very precious in the sight of God." — 1Peter 3:3-4
Our dresses matter a lot, so we have to be careful of the dresses you wear. Let it glorify God and let it be a blessing to people around you.
